Fresh Meats

Fresh meat like ground beef, bone-in cuts, and poultry have a high risk of perishability. Therefore, these products demand the highest performance level and freshness protection. ABX delivers this critical requirement with high barrier flexible packaging, available in low seal or lock seal. Our horizontal form fill seal packaging for steak, poultry, and other proteins provides excellent oxygen transmission rates (OTR) and moisture vapor transmission rates (MVTR).

Frozen Meats

ABX offers multiple product types that not only withstand low temperatures but can also be used in cook-in applications:

Our breathable films allow oxygen transmission while maintaining a moisture barrier, with the strength and durability to withstand freezing temperatures without cracking or compromising package integrity.

Our standard barrier packaging provides standard OTR and MVTR barrier properties and is suitable for frozen applications when high barrier materials are not required.

With our Steam Quick HT packaging, consumers can go from the freezer to the microwave with ease: the Steam Quick HT packaging design has FDA approval for cooking temperatures up to 265°F, which is ideal for frozen pre-cooked proteins.

Frozen meat packaging is available with sealant options like lock seal, low seal, and peelable.


Processed Meats

Processed meats like jerky or sausage require convenience and excellent product protection.

ABX provides 10-color reverse print structures which deliver the appropriate physical property and barrier requirements for your product, in pouch form or rollstock for your horizontal or vertical form fill and seal applications.
